The grape variety for lovers of crisp, lively wines with a marine character, our Folle Blanche grape variety expresses itself to the full in this Gros Plant du Pays Nantais AOP wine

Grape varieties planted:

100 % Folle blanche

 

Soil type:

Sand and red gravelly clay over mica schist. Shallow soil

 

Age of the vines:

60 years old on average

 

Vineyard management:

Guyot Simple and/or short pruning
Soil maintained by a hoeing and/or a shallow ploughing of the soil

 

Method of vinification:

Harvesting by hand. Gobelet pruning allows this grape variety to limit its yield to 50 hl/ha
After settling, fermentation is carried out at a temperature of 15° C.
Aged on lees for 6 months. Lightly filtered

 

Number of bottles per vintage:

1500

 

Tasting notes:

Pale hue with green tints.
The ageing on the lees imparts freshness, lightness, finesse and a light sparkle.
This wine exudes floral, citrus and lovely saline aromas.

 

Serving advice:

Best served at a temperature of 11°C.
Open within 3 years. It tastes even better when enjoyed by the sea!
