Description
The « Côtes de Grandlieu » appellation was created by a decree dated 29/12/1994. It is a regional appellation like the « Sèvre et Maine » and the « Côteaux de la Loire ». It covers 19 communes covering a vineyard area of about 900 hectares.
On our domaine, this appellation covers about 7 hectares with an annual production of around 50,000 bottles. Most of the vines producing this wine are short pruned (2×3 eyes) and trellised and the soil is ploughed. These growing methods allow us to control the yields at around 50 hectolitres per hectare.
